Hotel Facilities and Local Services

We pride ourselves on meeting all of our guests individual needs and your room will contain a comprehensive list but we have included here some of the things it is useful to know before your stay.

For ease of reference we have listed these in alphabetical order.

Baby-sitting Baby-sitting can be arranged on request. Please note that we use local girls who, whilst very responsible, are not trained in child care (or checked for criminal records etc).
 
Bedding Beds are made up with duvets (non-allergenic). If you would prefer sheets and blankets please let us know.
 
Checking In and Out You can check in any time after 2.30pm, if you think that you may arrive earlier let us know and we will do our best to get your room ready for you.

We ask guests to check out by 12 noon on the day of departure. If you need the room longer than this, please let us know.
 
Hairdryer There is a hairdryer in the cupboard in your room.
 
Laundry We will be happy to put any items through our washing machiner and/or tumble dryer by arrangement. Please note that this is not a professional laundry service and clothes are washed and tumble dried at your own risk.

An ironing service can also be provided on request, again at your own risk.
 
Meal Times Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.00am in the Hotel Restaurant. If you require an earlier breakfast this can be arranged.

Lunches, with daily-changing specials, are served in Shieldaig Bar and Coastal Kitchen next door; alternatively we can provide you with a sandwich lunch in the resident's sitting rooms.

Dinner is served in the Hotel Restaurant from 7.00pm until 8.30pm. Reservations are recommended. Late suppers can be provided by prior arrangement.

Packed Lunches We are delighted to make up packed lunches. These can range from a full picnic to simple sandwiches, so please let any member of staff know your requirements the evening before.
 
Shop Shieldaig Stores, the shop adjacent to the hotel, is open from 9.00am to 5.30pm daily (7.00pm in July and August) and 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays. If you require anything out of shop hours please let a member of staff know.
 
Smoking Please note that for some time it has been illegal to smoke in enclosed public places in Scotland. This covers the whole of the inside of the hotel.
 
Telephone, Faxes, Email and Internet Access Wifi is available freely throughout the hotel. Please note that it is not a secure or protected system. No password is required.

There is also a laptop computer for guests' use at no charge. If you would like to use this please ask a member of staff.

Telephones - if you are calling a standard UK number we will be happy to lend you a telephone at no charge. Please ask a member of staff.

There is also a pay telephone in the booth at the back of reception. It takes cash and phone cards are available in the shop. If you want to make a call using your credit card you can call 0800 358 2062.

For outgoing fax requirements please speak to any member of staff who will be happy to help.
 
Television There is a television (all freeview channels) in the smaller sitting room.
